March 24, 2005 - Finding Core performs along with
Legendary 80's Rockers "Great White!

The night started off with a bang, having the boys in Finding Core in an in studio interview at 95.1FM (The Rock). There, they talked about the release of their upcoming album, and giving radio listeners the "Official" release date finally, being June 1, 2005. They also talked about the band's influences, touring plans, Eric's 1970's Cat Steven looks, and more! From there, they headed back to Twister's Nightclub to a packed house of eager to be rocked fans!

Great White was extremely cordial to Finding Core and made them feel very welcome. Eric and Mark talked "shop" for quite some time, discussing amps, guitars, effects, you name it. Derrick, rang up our drummer while he was at home, and asked if could use Finding Core's drumkit, and sure enough, the Mapex kit we were currently using, totally fit the bill, and became the set for both bands.Being that there were only 2 bands on this bill (Great White and Finding Core) made things much more relaxed than the norm, when you have 3 or more bands on the same bill. Finding Core was able to deliver a full hour set of material featured from their forthcoming CD Release (entitled "Silence"), plus sneaking in the crowd favourite "closing medley", starting off with Eric performing his patronage to guitar hero, Edward Van Halen, doing "Eruption".

To make things even more thrilling for Eric this evening during his solo piece, he had the honour of performing it in front of Kevin Dougan, bass tech and long time friend of Van Halen. Kevin and Eric had many words throughout the evening, and you would have needed a large pry bar to get those two apart. Kevin commented to Eric that he really enjoyed the Van Halen riffage! He also slipped Eric a few Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar used guitar picks to boot!Finding Core delivered one of, if not their best performances to date. Their timing, attitude and outlook on the entire evening was right on the money.

They only encountered one technical glitch throughout, which was their snare stand breaking in half during the performance, but while Eric whipped off Eruption, long time fan, Al Herr, jumped on stage and acted as a "human snare stand", holding the snare up for the closing medley. Poor guy, must have suffered extreme hearing loss too, as he stood over the drumkit, but what a trooper, he would not see Finding Core call it quits due to a technical hardware problem. Todd, J.Z. and Eric rocked like they were on a mission, and they were smiling at each other on stage like kids in a candy store. This on stage excitement in turn, made its way to the crowd and they were digging the excitement just as much, if not more than, the band! Finding Core's merchandise sold up a storm this evening as well, and it was quite exciting to see many fans of both Finding Core and Great White, throughout the club, wearing Finding Core hats, T's and more! The band totally created the ideal atmosphere preparing the crowd for what was to come, an incredible performance by Great White, which was stellar from beginning to end. Finding Core wishes to thank everyone involved for making this event happen, and especially the following:

The Staff of Twister's Nightclub, Mark, Jack and band of Great White, Kevin Dougan, The Rock 95.1FM and all their extremely loyal fans. They couldn't do it without you!
